The white Cotes de Gascogne, under the Denis Tastet label, is a delicious blend of Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc and Ugni Blanc. In the Bas Armagnac line, my favorites are: VSOP, 1995, 1989, and 1976.
"Esquilhot" means walnut in Gascon/Béarn language.As most Domaines and Estates from this region of Cotes de Gascogne, it produces wines and spirits.
This so called" wine" falls sort of in the middle: blend of freshly picked walnut leaves and bogs, macerated with sugar in Bas Armagnac, and blended with red wine. All products are 100% natural and 100% estate grown and produced. Ideal companion for your cheese tray.
